To See Anything

To see anything — anything! —

as it actually is

is to clearly realize

and not mind realizing

that we don’t know

and cannot know

what it — or anything else —

actually is

To see anything as it actually is

is to clearly recognize

with more than our mind

that it — like us —

is but boundless Mystery

even as we continue

dreaming otherwise

To see anything as it actually is

is to see without eyes

this both being no big deal

and perpetual surprise

To see anything as it actually is

is to see what’s out of sight

to know without thinking

to homestead in Mystery

to freefall into endless intimacy

with what we’ve been dying to see

It is of this

that our undreaming eyes speak

even when speechless.

It is of this

that we are made

and endlessly remade
